Those two blokes are working on tempting me to come over to the Excel side of things.

Looking to make a comeback in the drivers seat, and been sniffing around here. Was going to build an older rwd (datsun) car but in evaluating prices I scared myself to death, the Excels are looking better value all round. I rember Col lobbying me to support them when the VIC series was first being proposed and I supported it, but thought to myself, if it floats your boat and gets the VRC numbers up, all good, but not for me. mind you at that time had just hopped out of the Nav seat of a very fast RX7 so I was in the need for speed zone.

Have been pointing all new comer enquiries to this series so much now that I am falling into the trap of liking them.

Still a lot of thinking to do, like how to to build one without needing a divorce.

Names Mark Hallowell -
Cerberus Car Club, HRA, VRAP Secretary, Steward, Round 1 VRC organising team member, State Council and generally volunteer for way too much.

If I get a divorce just remember its all their fault :slap:

Great to hear Mark, I've got a VR4 rally car and I still have one of these on the build that will be ready for next year, don't be shy you won't regret it they are great fun to drive just not as quick as you are normally running in but a great sense of competion .

P.S. Johns young bloke has my old one,I'm really looking forward to next year cant wait.

Mark

You have psychologically crossed the abyss. There is no turning back now. And yes, Col and John are always to blame...always (and never answer a phone Col hands you):potstir:

AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHH

All thoughts of competing this year have hit a major hurdle, my daughter has brought her wedding forward to April 2009 ( no she's not pregnant ). There goes any budget I thought I had.

Easy fixed, give her an Excel as a wedding present......

A relatively cheap and tasteful present too!
