now here is a sign of the times , a Rally in Australia with only 1 Datsun 1600 and 2 Gemini's entered, good work men we'll breed them out before to long ,
( as i turn and look at my half finished Datsun 1200 coupe ) :(

No fear theres another Datsun about to join the ranks!
My brother has built a Datsun Stanza (now just has to get his rally licence).

Will be running his first event up here at the Noosa Hillclimb.
Car will be driven by Mick Reynolds and also by his mate Josh Leask.
Hes wanted the yellow that it is for a long time and now finaly has it, so if anyone is heading up to the hillclimb and sees him around bonus points if u get in a comment about the yellow :naughty:
'oohh, so its THAT yellow'
'is that the Porsche yellow'
ect :potstir:

Just a quick word from the BSCC club captain... :D

If any of you are unhappy about your seeding position, please let me know. Unfortunately the latest seeding list (post Border Ranges) wasn't available from the Queensland seeding officer as of last Friday when the entry list was done.

Basically it's a safety issue; if you feel that you're going to be getting close to the car in front by the end of stages then you can apply to the Clerk of Course (Greg Bryant) to move position.

maybe he should paint his besa blocks yellow as well , just for safety when under the car ,
if only we could make Excels sound a little more throaty like a Dato :potstir:

Sorry Nathan that throaty noise has nothing to do with internal combustion. The sound that you are hearing is the sound of corrosion, steam and oil leaks resonating through body filler and thirty years of lead based paint.:spank::rofl::naughty::booty:

Would be nice to have a bit of weber induction roar.
I have trouble hearing much engine noise whilst driving ("What's that sonny"). As a result, my shift indicator consists of Rodney digging me in the leg with his biro.

twin weber even.

i shall have to suggest that

i also vote that he should paint the engine yellow and black similar to a young monkhouse engine, but he doesnt seem to agree.

We were at the flying finish of Comtel stage, and I wandered up the road a bit to grab some photos over the jump near the end.

With thanks to Dani for operating the flying finish solo for some of the time:
