Hi all,
After trolling around this site for a short while now I am about to take delivery of Latho's beast. :clap:
I had been considering building a car starting from a Pickle's special. I really knew that, assuming that I actually got it finished, this would have been a beating to nothing given that I had tried this and failed with Bucket (motorcycle) racing some 9 years ago.
Too many concussions from racetrack crashes meant that I had to look for something new. I was intro'd to khanas a bit over a year ago and am now excited to get out into the fray of real rallying. Unfortunately, my first foray at Bay Stages this year ended 2km into SS1 with fuel problems (ended up that there were a couple of grains of alloy in the carbie intermittenty blocking the main jet).
I am not the best of mechanics (although I can do basics such as clutch and brake replacements), so will be reliant on advice from the rest of you and service assistance from where ever I can get it. Hopefully, the new car will continue to be as reliable for me as it was for Latho this past season.
See you out there in the NSW series (once I find myself a nav).
