Does anyone confidently know what the thread size is on the oil pressure switch on an excel (I hope I can safely presume that they kept this consistent across all the engines:confused:).
I'm looking to fit an aftermarket oil pressure sender and pressure gauge and don't really want to get my hands oily just yet... I could always use latex gloves ....
The available sender thread options are:
1/4-18 NPT
1/8 NPTF
1/8-27 NPT
M10x1K
M12x1.5K
M14x1.5K
I'll be using a tee fitting to fit both the pressure switch and pressure sender...

Well, doesn't look like anyone out there knows the answer to this question...:(
In the meantime I've been doing my own sleuthing and have finally purchased all the gear to install an electric oil pressure guage in the excel (personally, I don't like the mechanical ones...). The guys at Repco were able to help with the pressure gauge thread size. I'll post the details here for future reference once I confirm that I've got it right!:)
I'm going to commence fabrication of a fibreglass gauge dash pod to hold three 52mm gauges (in our case volts, oil pressure and one spare). I'll be making a fibreglass mould for the pod so I might be able to make up a few once I've got it together...will post a thread on it's construction, should be interesting for those of you who might like to try a bit of fibreglass work..:)

might be interesting, but why? There's a perfectly good hole where the radio used to sit. Not unless you've still got tunes:lmao: Or in the dash vents?

Aaaaah Grasshopper....
Central Vents are for fresh air to blow away dust and relieve much sweatness from face on hot days....
Radio hole will be eight circuit switchpanel for all electrical goodness...
(Catches fly with chopsticks...) :lmao:
EDIT - Radio position is a little low in my opinion, want to keep the oil pressure gauge in peripheral view of both driver and navi....
