Hi Everyone
I was bored so I thought I might post an Introduction.
Hi my name is Trinity Hewitson, I'm 16 and live in Ulladulla, NSW.
I love anything rally and cars and I also love snowboarding. I own 1997 Excel, SOHC, Sprint, that my Nan gave me (was free yay!!!!). I am a member of SKDAC and recently competed in my 1st khanacross and loved it. My goal this year is to compete in the Bay Stages Intro Rally at the end of the year. So I'm slowly modding the car. (any suggestions what i should do to it?) And hopefully move into the Excel Series in the next year or two (if the series is still running) and (do you guys allow P platers in the series?)

Hi Trinity,
it's just a little joke about Crazy Daves ability to turn up to events with the same problems unresolved that he had at the last three rallies and ending up DNF'ing.
However I think he spent a bit more time in the garage over Christmas than he is admitting to &Two events in a month and a finish in both without any major dramas. Well done Crazy Dave:clap::clap:

:lmao:to you all. Don't listen to them Trinity. I was only going of the info most of them were telling me and none of us picked that I was about to make a bighole in the side of the gearbox. Free time to work on cars is a dram when you have kids so you are lucky and getting the chance to do some of it now. Wish I had of known about rallying at your age instead of driving stupid on the streets :spank:.
Try to get some mates a bit interested as then it will be easier to get a helping hand when you need to do work to your car. Basically there is not much you have to do to the car for the intro rally. I would mount harnesses to hold you in better, trip meter for the nav (I have a spare you could borrow fror the event if you don't get one by then), safety triangles and a second fire extinguisher, first aid kit (put it in the glove box) and then a sump guard. You could run some second hand rally tyres to give you more protection and an intercom if you can track down a second hand one (I have a spare one that needs some wires on the headsets resolderred if you (or a friend) can solder).
Then when you are ready and want to commit to the full rally car, money etc, it becomes time to strip it out and put the cage and seats in. Then final step is suspension and you are at where we all are now. Need to get as many hours as you can now to save up, and keep an eye out for second hand stuff (tripmeter, harnesses, seats etc)

How would I mount harnesses without race seats and that harness bar thingy? (not sure what it is called)
And what harnesses should I buy and where from?
