I have been asked why I have named my car "The HEMP".
All my cars and motorcycles have names...
Bucket Racer #1 = Derek (the wreck)
Bucket Racer #2 = Dizzy (disappointment)
86 BMW K100RT = Dieter (just a German name)
03 CBR600RR (now sold) = Debbie
88 Barina = Doof Doof (my daughter named that one owing to the sound system)
92 Barina = Douggie
86 HiAce van = TB2 (Thunderbird 2)
08 Swift = Suzi (my wife came up with that original one)
and...
Excel = The HEMP (Hyundai Excel Money Pit)
So do other people name their vehicles?

And my '97 Hyundai Excel rally car called Bluebell (the radio callsign for RAEME elements. The car will also be painted in REAME colours).
I've navigated in a Beetle called Dipsy,

There was a young man from Yepoon
whom most of the fraternity thought was a spoon
he pulled, yanked, rushed and bartered
Rear wheel drive with flares he farted
At the end of the day faced with Mick he just sharted
For queensland rear wheel drives belong in a tomb

For those of you not in the know, every tuesday night Tanz (Anthony Tanzer) skypilot (Justin Sinclair) seem to have a long distance shed party that involves phone conversations, alcohol and rally cars. This evening was Tanz hanging shit on Justin for using a $40.00 rattle gun on his front left hand wheel and snapping a wheel stud. Yes after 1 hr Justin has now used his spare hub and is sitting at the computer with skinned knuckels and a belly full of Calrton mid and half a bottle of Red lable.
Steve Andrews has also joined in this evening to hang extra shit on Justin with the tone basically being how is it that you can fly a aeroplane but cant use a rattle gun

Back on topic!:splat: Our Excel has been named Hannibal the Horrid Hyundai, hence the name triple H rallyteam.
In Qld fwd rally cars have become affectionately known over the past couple of years (in a small part by myself) as Nasties. Nasty little fwd's! So, when Al picked up our car and travelled home over several hours, he figured the nastiest of nasties would have to be Hannibal from the movie "Silence of the lambs"!
off topic:)
there once was a pilot,
who seemed a bit of an idiot,
he drove very slow,
didn't put on a show,
but drank lots of beer,
long distance we fear,
his car be yellow,
race day he be mellow!
He started it!:slap:

So it's limericks you want is it?
:potstir:
There once was a fellow named Tanz.
With great flare, his car sideways would dance.
Rear wheel drives look so pretty
But stage times, what a pity.
Because show ponies only can prance.

....and another
Spectators love rear wheel drive
On sharp bends where they really do thrive.
All of that sideways mayhem
Gives spectators more time to watch them
And less time for the next FWD to arrive
I can keep these coming!
