Question.
Is there a reason why you can't bend your own cage? if you use the cams spec materials, is the tube hard to bend? If you were to build the entire cage welded in, can the car be log booked and how do you go about it?

YES you can bend and weld it all by your self , so long as you follow the CAMS manual and you use the approved material , which you can buy in quite a few places, these days i buy through Racetech steel in NSW, Craig will happily organise everything for you , if its your first time building a cage ,make sure before you start you talk to people who have built a Roll Cage/s before, and look at as many roll cages as you can and pick up some ideas
as far as log booking goes, you find yourself one of the many happy little chappies called a Scrutineer, down load the appropriate paper work off the CAMS website and get the car and cage inspected, Oh and dont forget to leave an open packet of TimTams on the car :lmao:

Now seeing I have found a " expert" in this field, what would be the best way to bend the main hoop and legs. normal every day pipe bender or should I go with the fill with sand method or get the tube mandrel bent?
