I am currently investigating how common a fault is with the Terratrip range, I have spoken to many fellow competitors in the last few months and have come to the conclusion that both the 202 plus and the 303 appear to have a screen failure rate which is unacceptable this fault causes the bottom digits to be lost from the display. I have contacted Terratrip and have been informed that these computers have a 18 month warrantee from when they leave the factory, unfortunately they often sit on shelves for some time before they are passed on to customers meaning the warrantee period is significantly reduced, in my case I purchased mine in December 05 but the Unit left the factory nearly 2 years ago.
Anyway I suspect this is a fault that the manufacture has known about for some time and has failed to rectify, as such could people contact me off-group to give my some idea as to the extent of the problem so I can take it up with the relevant authorities both in Australia and the UK. The warranted period would be irrelevant if the fault is common and the manufacture has know about it and failed to act to recall the faulty article.
