So, I have this problem with a pivot table...

Oops, wrong Excel forum.

Last week I caught up with Fro when he was in Brissy and he was extolling the virtues of Excels to me, so I thought I'd sign up here, much to She Who Must Be Obeyed's dismay, and have a look around.

At this stage I think I'm much more up for serious navigating action (though even that may be more of a time commitment than I can reasonably manage) than building a car for special-stage rally use.

At the same time, I do have an itch for a motorkhana, khanacross and maybe autocross jigger -- and given the support and parts availability, an Excel just might be the way to go, especially as the initial purchase price is (seems to be?) so low.

Now, where are these sub $1000 cars Fro was telling me about?

Ah so Fro was up north!! He caught me down in Mexico at the Rich River last year and now I have the Grumbomobile and several other Excels. There are plenty of Excels around I have a couple that are surplus to requirements A single camer straight and clean--- engine has had head reco'd and new timing belt fitted for sale for $600 and a 98 twincam with all electrics power windows/imob/cd and air and steer only 132K on clock with new timing belt for under 2k. So Fro is right their out there.
Its a pity your not closer as there is a huge shortage of Co-drivers down here in fact I missed last nights Ivan's Folly due to the lack of a navigator.
Anyway we're a weird mob but you'll enjoy the fun and games associated with the Excel series. so welcome and enjoy the Excels!!!!

Problem: Why are there no dirt cheap Excels listed on CarSales? Because you have to pay to list. Similarly on the Trading Post.

Proposition: If there was a place that had free classifieds for cars in Brisbane, there would be sub $1000 Excels there.
