Run it at hirstglen, or any 'club level rallysprint' that doesn't require a roll cage.
[Edit] Actually... I'm not convinced you can't... a multi-club event (such as KCF) is still considered a club level event under CAMS. There's only club, national and international. Maybe Tanz or someone will know better, but I have this feeling you could actually run a car cage-less at the KCF, if you got technical.

No, you actually do need a cage in a rally, unless it's an introductory rally. Something that hasn't been run in Queensland as long as I've been in the sport. I'm sure there's a couple of other exempted rallies like mapped or navigational.

You sure tanz? I'm happy to be proven wrong, but Sched J says:
1.5.3 Exceptions
A safety cage is not mandatory in the following event types:
(i) Introductory rallies
(ii) Club level rally sprints
(iii) Some touring road events
.........
Under CAMS, a club, and multi-club rallysprint is the same thing. What am I missing?

The technical difference is that the KCF's are a short course rally, not a rally sprint. Rally sprints are limited to a 6 or 8 km stage maximum length (can't remember which), where a short course rally you can run.... well...... it seems any length you want.

Oh ok cool. So a the KCF 'rallysprint' is still just a rally... Cheers

yep, the BSCC elected to stop running rallysprints a few years ago due to their interpretation of the regulations. They seem to have adopted the use of the name rallysprint again this year but are running the event as a rally. Dwarf is correct a rallysprint cannot have a stage longer than 8km.
