Ecogas racing ERG have confirmed that Ed and Steph will be competing this weekend.
Fresh from their WRC win at Urbanville they are keen to show the metropolis of Jimna their raw speed, panache and blinding ability, currently ranked second in the 2009 series Ed is very keen to catch the series leader Justin Sinclair, whilst Ed and Justin have battled all year it is Justin who has the upper hand and sits comfortably in the lead, unfortunately Justin is sitting out this round due to car availability issues. Nonetheless Ed and Steph will give it a good crack to try and close the gap.
During a pre event interview Ed has indicated that the car sits on freshly overhauled MCA suspension and a set of brand new hand cut Tyres. The car undergone an engine freshen up with a few more KW being released from the exacting standards of the Ecogas work shop. A fresh cold air intake has been created to take advantage of Jimna's 2500' elevation and resulting decrease in density altitude. Much testing has been conducted in the Kilcoy region and Ed has indicated that given the right conditions an outright win is not out of the question. When asked as to the reason for his seeding at car No 16 Ed could only confirm that if Seb Loeb was such a poor sport as to only give up one road position then surely the great Williams must give the world a demonstration of the meaning of The great Australian sense of fair play, If I was Ian Menzies in the mighty V8 falcon I would be extremely worried.
Entry to the KCF Rally at Jimna a free and Ed and Steph will be on hand to sign autographs at each service.
We would like to remind Ed's adoring fans that his wife Kylie does not appreciate underwear being thrown at Ed whilst he is on stage, if you do find that you need to show your appreciation of his fine skills may we suggest that you approach him whilst Kylie has her rum glasses on later on in the evening.
