Excel 2009 Presentation

The 2009 Victorian Hyundai Excelrally Series presentation night will be on Saturday the 7 th of November .

Venue will be:
The Queensberry Hotel Queensberry St Melbourne (venue for the last three years)

The night will kick off at approx 5.30 pm aand we will have a private room the same as earlier in the year

The trophy presentation will take place at 6 pm followed by a meal
(meals and drinks at Bar prices mains range from $13.50 to $19)

Every one welcome RSVP by Wednesday the 28 th October

Firstly I missed congratulating the 2009 Victorian Hyundai Rally Series champions Nikki and Tony when I spoke last night so well done guys, no series is easy to win and to win you need to "plan for luck!!!"

The Mexican made Shab and I most welcome at their awards nite and organised a fantastic evening to accommodate our visit. I'm disappointed that I had to fly home last night but glad I made the plane as opposed to last weeks trip to Adelaide.

To JC, Col and Tony thanks for hosting the meeting and the transportation.

Also congratulations to the 2nd and 3rd placed competitors, you guys just need to chase tony down in 2010- km by km.

Oh and JC, Kimberley wants to have a run at Rally De Femmes on December so you need to get your entry sorted.

Hi All,

Thanks all for making 2009 such a great year. Nikk and I really did have a good year and feel a lot more comfortable in a rally car than we did last year. We always look forward to the next event, not only for the rallying but also for the he camaraderie in the Hyundai series, which is second to none. So many thanks to all our fellow competitors and crews for help, support and general jocular frivolity in 2009.

Once again a big thank you to John Carney and Traf Tractors and Machinery for supplying the awards and to John Doutch for suppling and compiling the excellent pictures and artworks, they are greatly appreciated; (great pictures from the night too). Thanks also to Hyundai for their continued support, to Mick and Shab for enjoying the evening with us, (especially after having to leave home at 4:30am to get to Melb), and without whose support and foresight the Excel series may well not exist. Our thanks also to all the people behind the scenes for making sure the series got a foothold in Vic and remains in situ, Col, John, (again), David Lambie and Mark H.

Looking forward to 2010 and to competing in with what looks like 10 to 12 Excel teams; Can’t Wait!!
