Well apart from myself is anyone going to the Trailblazer ? It will be a good event albeit navigation biased but with bugger all other events on except the Bonnie Doon what tuning/testing are you fellow competitors doing prior to the EGS?
Would be most happy to see some familiar faces there:)
Regards Grumbo

Great photo JD better send me one. We had an interesting night had a failure of the Gearbox probe 7k's into transport from Heathcote start so the entire event was done using only the official maps and compass. The lack of any distances made for some good/bad guesses like how far is 3.6k's driving through the scrub even so we were the last competitors to complete the course with 3 mins of LRT left giving us 12 th O/R
To answer Dave Fred picked that your passage was a "plant" and there was a grotty somewhere off to left as we approached but not only having lost the tripmeter the left Cibie lense decided it was time to bail and fell out-leaving us with limited lighting which made finding Daves passage the correct way bloody near impossible. We were also down to 9 mins LRT at that time and we decided to go in and gets Dave's WD autograph.:lmao:
Interesting event-- a true test of car and crew and gave me plenty of time in the car and getting realtime feedback of what Fell off and I must say that it was only NON Hyundai Bits that fell off.:(
Dave we'll be at your Thomson Vally Rally and the closer X Trial:clap:

JD That roo must have done some real damage! A close check on evilbay will throw up some on a regular basis. Thanks to a Via official I managed to save the lense but its got a bump on the reflector-- dont know if will have any real effect on the light beam. Dont forget that photo and I'll catch you soon.

Grumbles..........the roo took out the headlight but not the driving lights. Now repaired (in dodgy fashion!!) I hunted for new Super Oscar lens units at the end of last year, and no long range ones available anywhere, and no future date of supply! Maybe Cibie have given in to Lightforce........
