But after one event you just need the results from Lithgow for our point of view.

Speaking of officiating points, how do I go about getting mine from Lithgow sorted?

So if someone can provide me with the points system i will talley them up as the yr goes on and post on hear after every event, as i cant seem to find them on NSW rally?

my understanding is

1st = 22
2nd = 18
3rd = 16
4th = 14?

what does it go down to? and i guess 1 point if you start and 22 in you official?

From the CAMS competition conditions

Points for the Hyundai Excel Series will be allocated in the following manner.
1st to 15th outright, with points awarded from 20 to 1
20, 16, 14, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1
Points will also be awarded as follows: 1 point for Starting the event
1 point for finishing the event

Where there are more than five (5) events, contested in the series, a Driver/Co-driver will drop their worst round.
Where there are five (5) or fewer events, contested in the series, all events will count.

Cudo's for doing this as it is just one of those tasks that always falls to the same people. My personal opinion is to keep score of all excels whether registered with the cams nsw rally panel or not. This way people can see how they would have been going, plus the series looks better with more people listed. And for the future it may encourage people to register with CAMS as well. You can make a note next to who is registered or not. We also need feedback for who has officiated and any proof should suffice, such as being verified by an event official via email/phone/letter etc or verified such as by being a start or finish control and everyone seeing them anyway.

For me the points system is a bit weird but I have no problem with it:) In Canberra Richard told me that you can get 22 points just for being an official - I think it is too much but probably will use it this year (at least once will get 22 points!:) And do you know the guys who organized Safari Rally? I wrote them email that they didn't include me in Excel series but no answer...

The result are still provisional from the Safari once th couple of protest are sorted at the top end on the feild they will be made official and im sure you will be in there, and will let Aaron Tams the CoC no if you like.

If you guys registered with CAMS you had better let them know. Otherwise we should still be tracking points for everyone meeting the requirements anyway.

Adrian, it would be good if you could try to keep track of all excels for PR purposes and not just those that are registered with CAMS. It looks good when we can say there are x number of cars competing which will be higher than the number of people just registered with CAMS. Even if a car does one or two events, it is still good to try and include them. They won't be eligible for a CAMS trophy, but thats not important to everyone.
