Does anyone know where i can source one in the act area?
i really need one as mine has got major cracks all over it with a massive hole just above the instrument cluster :(

is it common for the x3 that the dash cracks so badly or is it just the prev owners fault for parking it off in the sun 24/7...

Since to rip off man at Big M Wreckers has closed down not sure but I think Waterloo (or something like that) has taken over what was left.

If you have no luck there we can see if we can get one as Jim at the workshop has a few contacts.

Thanks
I'll ring around tomorrow and see what they say.

What do you guys think is a reasonable price to pay for an uncracked dash?

That will be like gold. Out of 4 excels that I have had in the last 12 months or so, since getting into the series, all have had cracked dashes.

I got one from Mick the Indian Giver for a case of crownies in a recent container sale, foolishly i agreed to give it back maybe i should have gone for two cases given the demand.

Go the carpet on the dash, cheaper, stops the reflections, and keeps car cooler.

Im really not a fan of em :( my excel came with one but it looks like it was just used to cover the cracks....

I prefer my carpet to be in the house not on the dash. :D

i'll keep on the lookout I've got a plan on stopping it from cracking if i do get one ( or at least i hope it stops it cracking

Maybe instead of covering it with carpet, fill in the cracks and cover it with the suede-look stuff. Nicer than carpet, and it won't crack again.

Sorry but the dash I swapped with Whitey I kinda need back now that I have the Reece car/rally slut.

Excel dash's were great for parts sales when these cars were in warranty. They are a bit like 260Z dash's

Cheers Mick
