Sump Guard
The sump guard is made from 8mm Aluminium and extends from just in front of the bumper bar to behind the front suspension mounts. It is attached at the front between the chassis rails below the front cross member. The front mount also attaches via the bolts which support the front of the lateral link.
The rear sump guard mount is between the mounts for the front of the lower control arm and provides additional strength. The rear mount need to be constructed to allow room for the exhaust to pass between the mount and the floor pan.

Rai from Fabraications has a Sump guard Kit for the Excels. These are incredibly strong I know because all of last year my sump guard was a integral part of my suspension system (read that car was to low). Rai has a bolt on Kit he can be contacted through his cool website
