Well at long last there are 2 Excels in next weekend's X Trial:) Ged has come over to the dark side-where the Navigator determines your finishing position.
Anyone going to have a look/officiate . Start is at Dunolly Golf Club at 6 with first car due to finish at 11pm . Hope to see some Excelians out and about.:grouphug:

We'll be lurking somewhere in the bush, what sort of greeting would you like??
Might be a 3rd Excel too, (not us), just have to wait and see.

A good effort by Grumbo to gain 16th outright in a night of VERY slippery conditions and tricky navigation.
Hope you get the thing cleaned up by next Saturday.........

Well the name said it all the X TRIAL what a night .It rained all afternoon but stopped about an hour before the start. Conditions were Slippery+++ and at the end of any sort of straight road was a bit of sloppy clay ready to let you go exploring the scenery--Which we did on numerous occasions but missed hitting anything solid. the same cant be said of the sumpguard which copped a flogging.
All in all a great TRIAL and as previously stated it was a night for navigators with one Ross Runnells guiding the winning Galant to victory.
A big thanks to JD for standing out in the weather and mud to capture the essence of the event. I've cleaned the outside but will have to remove all wheels to clean the wheel arches and suspension.Anyway it was great practice for the Dereck this weekend in basically the same area:clap:

Well done all. We had a road closure on stage 12, left into a hard right then a caution over a yump. I thnik they had 28 entries and I think about 40 cars went past!
Grumbo went through really neat clean and quick, lots of confidence in his nav no doubt, Ged came down at a great rate of knots and then a bit of hesitation at the left and went right briefly before returning and flying off into the distance over the yump. So all was good, not too long after, Ged returned to give us another wave, the third time we saw him we were pretty sure he was lost. He wasn't the only one, I think we saw one car 5 times.
Good to see everyone made it home unscathed.
