I am having a run.
Hi Andrew
I'm heading to the GC tonight for scrutineering. I'm aiming to get there around 6:00 to 6:30. Might see you there, if not Saturday.
Did you find a Nav, if not I can ask people in the WRX Club, you will probably get someone with no experience but willing to have a go. If your interested let me know what the deal is as far as cost go and I'll post it up.
Me too

Hi Matt
Did you make the cut ? I hear a few reserves have made on the list, if you ring them and say you are competing in the Excel series and that this is round 1 they may bump you up the list. Not sure but worth a try.

Shame you won't be there - good luck with the car

Hi Dave
I got a navigator secured for the rally. Car is ready to go. My Dad and Mum help me put heaps with prepreation and getting the car and paper work sorted and scrutinered because I live inter state down in Canberra. So I owe them big time. But everything is ready to go.
See you on Saturday

Here's hoping that it's onwards and upwards from now on...See you at Rally Q
(Jason and I were first entry, unfortunately they wouldn't let us run as Car 1...we tried... :potstir:)

What a great weekend. I had an absolute ball. Congratulations to Matt Bailey for a great drive winning Class 1 and the First round of the Excel Series.
First rally for me down and really looking forward to Rally Q. It was steep learning curve for me being my first time in the drivers seat. I couldn't wipe the smile of my face. Thanks very much to Dan Gibson for navigating. After not navigating for 15 years he did an awesome job and we had a great time.
Thanks very much to my Mum and Dad and Brothers for all there help getting the car prepared and ready to go. Without you guys I would be in a world of hurt. Looking forward to round 2 and seeing some more excels out there.

Thanks Andrew, Sorry guys only just catching up with some of the forum messages.
Re the rally, we couldn't agree more. What a great time we had. I didn't realise how quick they get along and how much fun they are to drive. Don't know why anyone would rally anything else?
Matt.

Great to see that you guys had a ball at Border Ranges (I don't recall seeing a "jealous" emoticon on here anywhere) and congrats to Matt B for your result..the tweety birdy is back....
How did Dave go? (I'm sure you'll pipe up soon!).
People have been saying how well these little cars perform for quite a while now...the only problem is no-one quite believes it...
All we can do is show how much fun you can have out there and spread the word as much as possible. :grouphug:
See you all at Rally Q!

Hi all
Congrats to Matt and Andrew, well done and good to catch up.
Not sure where we came but our times were so :lmao: I stopped looking pretty early on. I think we have some work to do everywhere on the car and with my driving. Still it was a great event and I had a ball. Love the water crossings :). One of the rubber bungs came out in the back and it sprayed water all over Michelle at each creek crossing and I stayed dry. I thought it was funny but she didn't - I can't figure out girls.
For those who stayed that fog was amazing, I've never seen it like that, the suspended water droplets were really big, everything was soaked - even under the shade tent.
Are the stage by stage results posted up anywhere.
