I have more than an estimate, I have scales and it's almost exactly 60:40 in my car.

Thanks Glenn,
our estimate when talking to the suspension guy was 60:40 too so I guess we should be close enough.

Nice guess. In fact most FWD and 4WD cars I've had on the scales have been within 1% of 60:40
For what it's worth I run 180 lb/in springs in the front and 120 lb/in springs in the back. Not that I've tried any different setups, but these low spring rates seem to really help with grip.
Oh, and my car weighs just over 1000kg dry. With tools, rattle gun and all fluids it's probably close to 1060kg + crew .

Thanks for the info, we actually just put our springs in to get rated today so will find out tomorrow what we are running. They are progressive rate springs though so not sure if we get just one rating for them?
had to get the rear shocks rebuilt so thought i would get the springs rated so at least we have a starting point, not that i really have anything to compare to apart from the original stuff.

Any chance of bringing the scales to Bega so we can have a quick suspension adjustment. I think at Taree we found that the car was sitting about 15mm higher on one side than the other so I need to look at where all my adjustments are.

You need a very flat floor to make it worthwhile...and it's actually a very time consuming job to get the weights right (like a couple of hours at least). So if you're interested it might be best to come for a drive up to the workshop one weekend.....or we could plan some time when I'm down that way.

Dam, I thought (very little anyway) that just drive up on them adjust and drive down. I obviuosly hadn't put much thought at all in to it but have always wanted to do it as I think mine are all over the place after a bit of adjusting here and there, she'll be right type of thing. :slap:.
I wil be in contact to see if there is a possible weekend between now and Bega 2008 the way it is going.
