EXCEL TRAINING DAY!
SUNDAY 28th August, Bagshot Motor Sport Complex, http://tinyurl.com/3q6p6oj
I know it's is late notice, but it is all we could fit in.
Come one and come all that are interested in rallying Excels, (even welcome if you think that rally Excel's is stupid, I'm sure a ride will convert you!)
I am planning for a fairly casual day with maybe a 10am start, (bit earlier for entries and scrutineering) and finish up about 3pm. As in previous years I am intending to run 2 tracks, one for licenced drivers and one for juniors.
So if you have an interest and want to ask lots of questions come along, if you want some driving tution there will be plenty of experienced drivers in attendance and if you want some co-driving or pace noting experience there will be plenty of experienced codrivers to ask too.
Or if you just want to come and do some testing of your Excel, bring it along too. Any Excel welcome at any stage of completion, from fully standard to full rally or even fully sik ones too, (although I am not sure how the scrutineers will go with sub woofers and roof mounted monitors)!
I am in the process of organising paperwork which I will put on here when it is available.
If you are interested please let us know on here or send me an e-mail to;

Hope to see you there;
Tony

Thanks to all for coming out, I hope you had an enjoyable day, I know I did!
Great to see so many turn up and have a go. Thanks to JB for a drive of his car, and to JC for giving so many people a go in his too, hopefully we have converted a few more people into Excellers.
With any luck, after making us all line up for what seemed like an hour, JC has some pictures from the day he can post up?
Big thanks to Murray for picking up the load and helping me with running the event, to Dale for scrutineering, Rossco for his tuition and a ride in his "Special Excel" to Jimbo for his tuition of the newbies and a few hot laps, Sue for manning the gate, to Col for helping the day run smoothly and helping pack up at the end.
Thanks All
Tony

Fun day up at Bagshot. Thanks everyone for welcoming a newbie.
Was great to meet you all, have a few passenger laps (thanks Tony) and even some time behind the wheel (thanks JC & Stig Jimbo). Very generous and trusting! You know how to lure a newbie in and get them hooked. :)

:grouphug: Feeling the lurve...
Big thanks to Tony & Col for organising the day, and those that manned the gate, BBQ, and everyone who added to a gret social day.
A big thanks to JC for bringing his Excel along, and encouraging the newbies into his car, and allowing Cathy and others to drive it around.
A HUGE thanks to JB, for happily lending the keys of his Excel to me, when the Lantra didn't quite make it (Really close now though!). :clap: Glad I didn't put a scratch on it... Though I did get close to loosing parenting assets once.. Love ya Cathy
I had an absolute blast! It's been a long time since i drove an Excel on dirt (Learn't to drive on the loose stuff in Mums Excel many years ago.. Don't tell her though!), and was the first time I drove one quickly in Rally trim.
I hope the newbies got some good & usefull advice from me - Pity I don't practise what i preach hey Tony... :oops: What happens in the car, stays in the car??
Still, some of the best fun i've had in ages! :wiggle:
