I have been talking to Bean at Automotive Gadgets about the lack of cars.
We have come up with a plan to build a handful of Basic cars which can be finished off by the purchaser.


Acquire good straight cars at Salvage Auction, Unregistered repairable write offs, probably SOHC to contain cost
Bolt in roll cage
Sump guard and brackets
Fuel Tank protection
strenghened rear control arms
seat brackets for standard Excel seat mount holes to take side mount seat runners.The purchaser would then only have to do the following to be ready to go

bolt in suspension of choice
seats & harnesses
mudflaps
tyres
terratrip etcPrice would be around $5000, purchaser would need to arrange transport from Sydney.
