Hi all,
now i know we visited the idea of moving the interstate chellenge to Tumut already and there was a bit of opposition to it from the VICS due to its proximity to another VRC round in March.(possibly on the same date )

However Tumut has now moved to September 22.

So here is the cunning plan....

As the VIC series does not do ROM (at least not last year) and only has 5 rounds why not make the Tumut Rally round 6 and then we can have an interstate chellenge over two legs. The SA's can come over and we can make it the Excel National champioships.

It'll also give the VICS two chances this year to try to beat NSW on home turf.

So whadda ya all think ?

Yes it is a very good idea and i think it would be amazing to see maybe 20+ excels in the future racing with times that wouldnt differ much

While I would be very much supportive of this "national" event, we currently have an Intro Rally for the series scheduled on this date. However, seeing as it is in September (and we have some time to think about this), if for some reason, the date of our event changed etc, I would definitely speak with all Excel owners in SA and see what their thoughts would be on heading over to Tumut.

For those that are new to the whole rallying scene, I think it would be very good experience for them (am assuming the event will not be pacenoted). Keep you posted!!!

Hi guys

The Date change suits me better too- I would have had to miss the round where it was in March.

Although it is a week after the ARC round which is also on my plans for 2007.

Cheers Mick

Whitey- thanks for the access.

Love it!!!:D :D ;)

And Sept 22 is only proposed at the moment so it might still move a week here or there anyway, especially as we might be able to put some influence into it if need be (ie if it was going to be accepted as a national challenge and everyone could make a date nearby then we may be able to sway things although it would have to be done soon). We could go back to pushing for the front of field thing again if we were likely to get a dozen cars or more.
