Ok so we sent the Excel off to an auto electrician,
He put another new alternator in, and everything checks out ok,
The only thing he could possible put it down to was a slightly bad connection on the - battery terminal (i couldnt make it budge) so anyway he put a bigass battery clamp connections on and got rid the Stock hyundai clamp.
Im not convinced its fixed, any other suggestions, ive been trying to follow all the alternator wiring in the Gregorys manual.
All the earths to the engine/gearbox and chassis look good, no resistance
the Big white wire from the alternator to the 100amp fuse and then back to the + battery look good, also no resistance.
That just leaves the red/blue and white/red wires to the plug on the alternator,
i have to try and figure out how to check the other 2 plug wires on the alternator 1 looks like is for the charge light, the other looks like + power to alternator on the same fusable link as the control relay and fuel pump relay.
What else to check ??
I can see us blowing up another alternator here
