What effect would it have on tires adding some toe in on the rear?
Has anyone experienced a significant increase in wear?

Nah, they do bugger all anyway. Tyre wear on the back is negligible.

I get many events from a set of tyres on the rear (and thats after they have been on the front) and they are only being worn from the sideways movement and not the wheel alignment settings.
