Hey Bek,

I'll e-mail you as well, but just for the sake of recording the information I'll post it here too.

THe Co-Pilote watches seem to be the favourite amongst the Navs. Coral Taylor sells them, but in the meantime, here's a link to them on the rallysport website: Co-Pilote Watch (http://www.rallysportmag.com.au/home/index.php?option=com_phpshop&page=shop.product_details&flypage=shop.flypage&product_id=150&Itemid=)

Not cheap, but very good.

Cheers

Glenn

Co-Pilot Rally Watch

The Co-Pilot Rally Watch RW-2 is specifically designed for rally co-drivers and is used by the world’s leading co-drivers including Daniel Elena and Phil Mills. This unique watch, which shows time of day and a stopwach simultaneously, has been designed with a host of functions dedicated to rally use, while remaining very easy to use. The watch can store up to 30 stage times, has a large, clear display, and can be set to a choice of pre-start functions which allow the co-driver to start the stopwatch at any time during the preceding minute of their stage start time.
The Co-Pilot Rally Watch is available in Australia from Coral Taylor. Cost: $280 Email: coral@idx.com.au

I use a $10 Big-W digital special.... works great, has a light and I manage to keep time just fine. It's easy to set and has all the functions I need....

The benefit of the Co-Driver watch is that it stores your stage times, but it's only as accurate as you are in telling it when you cross the finish, which doesn't matter if it doesn't match with the control paperwork anyway!

I always write stage times down in the roadbook so I can keep track of it all... works for me....

Ethan and I work on the same theory. The Big W specials have been very reliable. I guess it depends on how serious you want to get with it all.

Bek has been using a sundial which is appropriate for my glacial pace. AT one stage we were thinking of doing ice core drills and Carbon dating to get a more accurate time - ie to nearest century.

I got a Baby-G off the tip and haven't looked back.
