G'day all.
I have always thought favourably of the excel series but helping the Fazz out at Batemans this year turned idle speculation into parting with money.
So here is my background, I started in 03 with a much maligned blue mazda RX-5. and after a large learning curve I crashed it. So I rebuilt it, then it got crashed by a third party (only a little bit), then I got all keen and upgraded lots of bit's on it, then crashed it again. Which took me out of rallying for a few years.
I was about to rebuild it again when I realised that an Excel would cost a lot less to run than a rotary, fuel, oils, tyres, parts would all be cheaper. The Excel format would mean I couldn't spend money on silly bits and pieces (except of course suspension) and that if I do crash it the price to get another back on the road would be relatively low.
So here I am! I put my car piccies and build details in the tech forum (http://www.excelrally.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=447)
