Hi Everyone, just thought Id post up to say hello to everyone and introduce myself...

My name is Bj, Im 18 and Im a drifter!

I Used to 'rally' my subaru liberty way back when.... and since then have been through many different vehicles, including a 200hp AE82 corolla, A road bike, another silvia, and then got into my current car which is a 99 GTP camry, and My race/drift silvia.

Basically, I joined a club (HDCC) which mostly do khanacross and rally, and finally just want to get back into it, hopefully do the excel rally in 2009... build a car over the year from the things that break :P also gives me a good chance to get used to dirt again! heh.

Other than that, I ave designed parts and mods for cars, and have also built 2 cars, so I like to get my hands dirty, now and then.

But yeah just a bit of backgound on me... and hope to see you all out there and meet you all if I get the chance!

Cheers,
BJ

Not sure how far way back when is when your 18? but way back when I was 18 ... (actually can't remeber back that far!)

Welcome aboard! Nice colours on the Silvia, similar to mine, http://www.compellingeconomics.com.au/pics/bagshot 10-9-06 116sml.jpg although mine has trouble spinning the wheels on dirt, (standard CA18 non turbo). Got the car to teach my now 15 yr old nephew to drive, (that's him driving in the pic), and panel beat etc. We had been mostly in khana, moto and auto crosses but we have done some track days.

Decided I enjoyed the dirt and brought an Excel to build into a rally car and in standard single cam $1200 as is trim, it was faster than the Silvia the first time I drove it on dirt, (first time in FWD on dirt too) you can see my build and prices on http://www.excelrally.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=510

Enjoy and goodluck!

Yeah my first silvia was a CA non turbo, was still a nice car to drive (in terms of fun/ power) and Im actually building my freinds a CA18 powered 180SX... its got some nice little mods to it which should keep him happy for a while! Hehe thats also how I managed to nab him to be Nav haha

What IS the sil like to drive on dirt? are you getting heaps of understeer ?

Wow, you have been busy! And a 99 GTP Camry as well. I saw a white one at Oran Park a few years ago and it went rather quickly. After all that grunt an Excel will feel like a glacier on mogadons !
