Name: Terry (Taxi) O'Donnell

Age: 41
Location: Brisbane, Australia.
Occupation:Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for a Government department (not allowed to say which one!)
Marital/Life status: Married, to my supportive, understanding, beautiful wife, Pam.

Time involved with rallying:Since some time in the early-mid 80's.

How did you get involved with motorsport: I never missed an issue of Chequered Flag as a kid, and it was Rallying and Off Road taht really caught my eye.

How did you get involved with rallying: I stuck my hand up and helped other people work on their cars at Rallyequip when I was (a lot) younger - when Frank Kilfoyle owned it. I have done lots of road closures and over the last few years, done a few start controls at various ARCs.

Time competing in rallying: First got into it seriously in about '03 navigating in a class 5 Gemini at the Goondiwindi AORC event. Navigated in a couple of VCRS events last year whilst studying in Victoria. I also ran my Kombi Van in KCs for a year down there!

What am I doing on the Excel Series forum?
I was referred here by Skypilot after I replied too late to his request for a navigator.
I've taken an interest in the series since it's inception, always thinking it's been a good idea. After watching the Kaitler X3 doing so well in KCs, I was convinced. Although I was a little saddened at the time to hear that QLD would not be running a series. Fortunately, that has changed and I'm looking for someone who needs a keen and moderately experienced navigator for the QLD series (Don't forget that I'm also a mechanic!).

Cheers,
Terry O'Donnell.

How does the Kombi go on the jumps in Portugal

Hi, I,m new here too. I'm looking at building a car for this, not sure about it yet. If I did I'd look at starting off on the second round this year. I have a tarmac car, but it's expensive and if you you only have to go to Vic for a run it's a bonus. So I thought a cheaper local series to get some seat time might be a good idea.

I think I'm right for a navigator, but she hasn't agreed to the dirt yet so I'll let you know if anything comes of it.

If you like, and for a small fee, I might be able to "take care" of Skypilot's navvie for you :D

yeh, yeh, yeh, jeeeezz you sound like my ..... (Hi Moxie :hail:)

Anyway, my trailer does not transport Budgie Yellow coloured cars! The colour would clash with the shiny guards and that's simply not on.
