JC has recently made some suggestions of a get together during the day at Mornington on 9 Feb, but this has not been particularly well received by some so he and I ( Col)have decided to abandon that idea. Note, the Rally Dinner is still on that night.
So…..
We have another venue and date.
There will be a get together of the Rally Drive Excel Rally Series teams and other interested parties on Monday 4 February. It will be at the Rosstown Hotel, Cnr Dandenong Rd & Koornang Rd, Carnegie. (Yep, it’s not far from my place, but it wasn’t me who suggested it !).
We have some tables booked in the Bistro for about 25 people from 7:30pm. Meals are available until 9:00pm. The plan is to meet there, have a couple of quiet drinks, present Paul and Craig with their trophys, talk about a little bit of business and then eat and enjoy the night.
Please let me know if you will be coming (0419 104 955 or a return email) so I can get a rough idea of numbers. The only cost will be the cost of your meal and drinks.

On Saturday 9 Feb, is the Rally Dinner at which all the VRC and VCRs awards will be presented in front of the massed rally community, the 2 wheel drive awards, Group N2, P2 etc etc including Peter Wrench from Rally Drive presenting Paul’s Excel trophy (again),. This is at the Mornington Racecourse. Details below.
Presentation of VRC and Yokohama Traction Tyres VCRS trophies and an
induction into the Rally Hall of Fame.
Saturday 9th of Feb.
Mornington Racecourse. Melway 146 B3
Venue opens at 6.00 pm and closes 11.00 pm
Meal is a cold Buffet.
Tables and chairs but no seating plan.
Drinks purchased from the bar.
Room to move outside
Plenty of chat time.
Tickets are $ 45.00 with an under 12 at $ 17.00
