Hi all as I sit here in Sydney watching the delights of the Cross walk by I was thinking about how we can make the series easier to compete in up here in QLD.

Maybe at the next meeting we could have a chat about a parts support system.

At the moment we have four excels.
Latham, Page, Sinclair, Taylor with a few other guys and girls thinking about it.

If we all went shares in a pickles/folwes written off car it should cost less than $600.00.

a carton of beer or soft drink and an afternoon would have it totaly stripped, plastic wrapped and labled.

things like

trailing arms, fuelpumps, master cylinders, throttle cables, CV's. hubs, radiators, sensors, computers, altenators could all be brought along to each rally.

If someone has access to a trailer maybe we could have a volunteer system to tow the trailer each round or we just split up the parts amoungst each entrant and store them in placcy marked boxes

I guess the idea would be if you use the part you would need to replace it by the next round.

anyway just a thought

This would be a great idea and could work well, might need to talk about it a bit more. While we are on the ideas subject we had brief discussion about Green Fleet at our state meeting it only cost $40 and trees will be planted to off-set the emissions from the cars. This might be a good promo for the series and the blokes at Green Fleet would be more than pleased to plug / launch the idea through the media, it hasn't been done anywhere in the world for state level championships so might be a good idea. Relatively low cost for a high profile i would have thought.regardsJohn Ernst

Both great ideas, and the carbon off-set was something I looked into heavily during our procedings with the state devlopement department responsible for Ethanol marketing in QLD.
