Some of you may know that the NSW rally panel have approached a past Aust Rally Champion to drive an Excel at some event in NSW this year. The deal has been done and both the driver, the car and event have been soughted out with the substantial help of Rick Cary as the Director of the Car Auctions Sydney Rally.

The Rally is looking to be very well promoted and this gives the Excel Series the best opportunity for publicity to date. The event was not considered for inclusion into the 2007 Excel calender mainly because it's pace noted.

I think that if all possible we should try and get as many Excel's to this event as possible not only to support the event organisers for giving the Rally Panel the opportunity to get grass roots rallying some real exposure but also see how close we are to the cream of Australian rallying.

Also this is a good opportunity to get some milage for our series sponsors such as Matt and Kev at Race Brakes, Gary at Dunlop and Glen at Motorsport Bits. Oh and of course Hyundai etc.

So I will leave it up to you but "please consider"

Cheers Mick

very subtle Mick ;)

A lot of people have worked very hard to bring together a fantastic promotional opportunity for the Excel Series across all states.

As the event is not an Excel round we would like all NSW Excel competitors who are not running to volunteer to assist as officials, so please keep Saturday 12 May free to assist.
cheers

Just to clear up any misconception, pace notes are not compulsory you will be supplied with a full and comprehensive road book for the
Car Auctions Sydney Rally Of Lithgow as well as a set of notes compiled by an Australian Chamionship winning crew
