Hi Layla
Welcome to this wacky community,
The NSSCC (North Shore Sporting Car Club)
is a good rally club to join, Most of the NSW Excel guys are members, and a couple of us are even committee members.
We will be at Lithgow as well competing in the Racing Green Excel, :)
Ben.

I would appreciated all info where, what and how much for someone who is just starting:)
I know that you guys know everything!!:grouphug:
Of course I still have to do a lot before I buy one, but it is good to know.

I just went to Pickles auctions($1000) but some people have scored some amazing deals. Just remember though, the car purchase is the least expensive part - you have to prep the car and you either get someone to do it for $ or spend a lot of time doing it yourself with some help. We can explain what the short cuts are and how to minimise the inevitable aggravation when eg the dash won't go back in,......

You talked about getting a ride as a nav in one of the forums. Make sure you get al your tees crossed such as your nav licence (or drivers licence if you wish, you never know what opportunitys may exist in the future). Get some info on navigating such as on rallychicks.com.au that seem to have some of the best info available so that you start getting an idea. There are lots more events this year and with whitey and myself both having issues with navs at the moment there is a good chance of getting a ride. Another option is to try and get a run around with a course car such as a sweep so as to try to get some practice feeling at something less than light speed. Having said that last time previous to Mat that I took a new nav for a ride we rolled the car as I wasn't fully focussed on the job so hopefully lesson learnt.
