Greg, Luke, Stephen, Greg, Ed, Kelvin, Phil, Peta, Rob Dav, Rob Dix, Kelvin, Nathan, Chris, Anthony, Nikki, Dave G and anybody else that is an Excel or front wheel drive rally person.

I have had a chat with a bloke with a big shed, cool BBQ and tools, would you be interested in having a get together day on the 7th of June to go over each others cars as afinal look before rally Q. Even if you are not entering it might be nice to see other cars and to cast your eyes over our cars incase we have missed something.

We might even be able to get a scrutineer to come along and offer advice.

Am sure the bloke concerned will come forward soon but just thought I would put it out there.

Hi guys and girls

Gideon Street of Pocket Rocket Fame has offered for us as excel series participants to go along to his install day. At this stage Tweety will be with there so that the guys can go over her, we will be taking a few parts along and possibly Tanzerina if anybody needs stuff. We have a FLH clonk to sort out and a few eleccy bits to install.

i know some of you are planning a test day on Sunday but it might be a good idea just to have others look at your car and see how things are hanging together.

Maybe those who have new navs could come along and talk to some of the more experaiced navs as well.

I think it would be a really really good way for the FWD gang to get together and show solidarity for rallying in QLD

I will probably buy some snags and stuff and maybe some beer.
I will forward Gideons address when it bcomes available.

It goes without saying that it is a freindly affair and all the forum bxllshit and wxnkey clicky stuff will be left at the front gate, put another way those with attitude will be shown the gate.
I am not saying that we have to hug and kiss the pugs in french maid outfits (although I secretly suspect that Gideon and Steve would enjoy it) but the day is supposed to be fun and informative.

We will probably try and get some experianced people to come along and have a look as well, well thats mainly for me cause I do not want to get pulled up in scrutineering again for stuff that I have forgotten.

Have a safe sunday

Justin Sinclair

Hi all,

Just confirming that will go ahead with this, will be extending the
invitation to the excel series guys as well (Justin, could you forward
to registered people).

If you've nothing to do and don't mind bringing your car having a poke
around others cars we might see a setup that addresses a problem
you/we/I didn't know we had.

Say Saturday 7th (week from today), kick off in the morning and finish
when we're done.

You'll need to bring workshop clothes, any car specific stuff (parts
and fluids), and any weird tools needed.

Cheers

Gideon

Evening all,

Whilst I'm waiting for a brute force of one of the local hospitals Domain
admins logins I'd thought I'd put an idea out there.

Not sure who's planning on entering RallyQ, but if you are I'm thinking of
holding an install day the weekend after Bernakin, 7/8 June.

Basically if you need to do something to your car, and it takes more than
one set of hands then the sheds open.

Given the pool of knowledge we have, I'm sure if there's something you've
been wanting to sort out on your car than as "they" say, more hands make
light work.
I've got a fair whack of tools, now including a rattle gun that can loosen
bolts that a 9 foot breaker bar wouldn't, so if you want to swap
driveshafts, change oil or need a hand doing something I'm sure altogether
we can work something out. Only thing I don't have is the capability to
weld, so if you want to do that bring some flamage (mmmmm fire).
Obviously you'll need to bring what ever parts you want put on and any
really weird tools you may require.
Let me know if there's any interest, otherwise I'll be forced to do some
work in the garden. If it is just a gathering of like minded carbon
non-neutral forest road lovers than I'm sure we can organise some dead
animals and a beverage to satiate your thirst (car work = no beer until it's
finished though).

Caveat: This idea may all turn to custard depending on whether or not I
have a motor and car that works (and finishes bernarkin) in one piece, if
I'm still trying to get the pug going i'll be calling for help rather than
offering it :)

Cheers

Gideon

I'm out due to distance. But I was thinking it'd be good to catch up maybe on the Saturday night of Rally Q? (sorry, I just stole your thread:slap:) Dave and Nikki don't intend to compete in an Excel , but have been helping with advice for Justin.

Cheers Tanz.

Fellow Excel / PRRS competitors

Luke & I would be keen to particpate in the proposed get together :grouphug:on Sat 7th June. It won't quite erase the disappointment of the deferred 2nd KCF:(. Just awaiting the address.

Regards
Stephen

Well just finished chasing a white crowned snake down to the
neighbours yard so thought I should send out my details for saturday.

Justin, I don't have email addresses for all the others invited so if
you could do the honours please and forward on.

Shall we say kick off at a decent hour of the morning, around 0900

Address is xxxxxx

My mobile is 0408 275 705 for any drama's

I'll be buying some sausages and some rolls, and apparently Justin
mentioned something about beer, what a bloke :) although I may also
have some involvement with beer (yes Leda almost vomited with laughter
at "maybe")

Cheers

PS If there's any huge drama's and a car doesn't get going by the end
of the day, there's enough room for a few rally cars to have a sleep
over). It's all very informal and more for fun and to lend each other
a hand if needed

PPS if on saturday you're reaching for a spanner and it moves and
hisses at you, probably best to let it run away
