SA Autocross Champs - Rd 1 SA Excel Series

Hi All,

Just to let you know the rescheduled SA Autocross Champs is on and running this coming Sunday the 8th of June, hosted by Southern Districts Car Club at Lanac Park. This is also round 1 of the SA Clubman series and the SA Excel Series. With a bit of luck we will have our car back together and ready to make its return to competition after the rollover earlier in the year.

Well the car is back together and looking reasonably straight, hopefully some good news to post after the run tomorrow!

So you have it running again. Feel like a trip to queensland to have an all states shoot out. I am sure they would look at squeezing you in if we all asked nicely.

As much I would love to make it to Qld (I was going to volunteer to nav for you if you couldnt find anyone closer!) its about a 6000km round trip and at the moment I am also without a navigator (after the rollover Dad has a fractured vertebrae and the current count is 5 fractured ribs :slap: )

Good news is the car ran without a hitch and seemed to go round corners as well as ever. Ended up about 7th outright I think and second in P2 (Damn Mark in his sprinter!)

Other good news is I have now seen photos of what could be the second excel to rally in SA and had a couple of enquiries which is encouraging.
