1.Download a copy of your relevant state Excel regs from this forum.
2.Then download the relevant sections form the CAMS manual (on the CAMS website).
3. Sit down with a marker pen and work out you will need to be legal for the Excel series and Rally PRC rules
4. Consult your local engineer as you also ineed to keep roadworthness items in mind as well.

Look at the PRC regs carefully as things like the rear wiper must remain, though for some reason the motor can be removed.

John, lets not confuse the man!! The rear wiper is not required under the PRC regs - extract from the CAMS manual below.

iv) The motor position, the blades and the operating mechanism of windscreen wipers are free. There must be at least one windscreen wiper provided for the windscreen, in the driver’s direct line of vision.

Shake - its probably best to read through the regs Whitey has posted and ask here if you've got any questions (Whitey can answer questions about the Excel specific regs, and the rest of us can argue about the PRC bits!).

Not talking about the windscreen wipers. Rear window wiper is a different bit of glass. Just a local (Victorian) inturpretation I'm sure. That's why we have EVO 1's and some odd Laegacys still running around with them in Vic. I was told by same scruitneer that did the CATS recently the rear wiper must be still there but the motor was not necisary hence I'll put it back... some day.

John

I think many (like myself) would consider it to be a "rear windscreen" ! I reckon you could easy make a sensible case for it being "free".

Suggestion .... email CAMS Tech section & ask for a ruling &/or put a proposal to next ARCom meeting.
