The Excel Series car of Hyundai's Mick Gillett took centre stage at the entrance to the 2008 Auto Equipment Expo trade show held over the past weekend at The Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.

Victorian Excel Training/Introduction Day Sat 21st June

Hi All,
Just to let you all know that we are holding an Excel Rally training day/night in Bendigo on Saturday the 21st of June. Start time will be at 12:00pm for scrutineering with runs scheduled to start at 1:00pm and a finish around 7:30pm. (Camping is available at the track)
The day will be open to anyone interested in joining the Excel Rally series or just wanting some more information  as well as those already involved who want some practice and maybe instruction. Juniors ar [Read On] |

Prior to the third round of the 2008 Race Brakes Sydney NSW Excel Rally Series, there was trepidation from the entered Excel crews. Rally of the Hastings, taking place in Port Macquarie on the Queens Birthday long weekend (Sun 8 June) was also a round of the NSW Rally Championship, and the weather conditions leading up to the event were quite damp. Round 2 of the Victorian Rally Drive Excel Series, The East Gippsland Stages has been won by Ross & Scott Allan in only their second Excel event beating Paul Batten by 5 seconds.
Paul Batten in the Kangan Batman TAFE car lost over two minutes on stage 1 when he couldn’t get the car off the start line. He spent the rest of the events 11 stages trying to claw b [Read On] |

Farrant continues to dominate ‘08 Race Brakes series

With a Crazy Dave and Team Goat (Bek & Haggers)officiating, six Excels faced the starter in The Rally of Lithgow, the first ever pace noted event in the Race Brakes NSW Excel Rally Series. The event would consist of four stages repeated twice, the events rough and boney roads having a toll on many of the front running outright cars.
